Multi billion dollar private
equity firm is seeking an experienced senior level accountant
to work directly with the Controller. Salary is competitive
with experience, plus bonus and benefits.
Responsibilities include
• Preparation of monthly internal financial reporting
package and quarterly and annual financial statements.
• General ledger (accts payable, intercompany,
accruals) monthly and quarterly closes, account reconciliations
and consolidations.
• Cash and investment portfolio reconciliations.
• Partner/shareholder allocation calculations.
• Coordinate treasury activities.
Successful Candidate possesses:
• 5+ years experience in public accounting or
accounting experience in either private equity or a
hedge fund
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a
top accounting school and B+ or better GPA .
• CPA or CPA candidate a plus.
• Knowledge of accounting treatment of derivative
instruments.
• Public company experience a big plus.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills, as well
as strong Word skills.
• Hands on accounting systems knowledge (Solomon)
a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability
to think out of the box.
